Straight talk, worth it or not?
Two lovely pools and a fantastic location just five minutes from the beach! The attentive staff ensured a comfortable stay, actively seeking feedback and offering assistance.
The hotel layout can be challenging, with steep stairs and a lack of proper dining options. Room maintenance also varied, which could impact comfort.

Nice pool, pretty good location for a non-beach front hotel. Tour agency just below the pool has many options, good price and a very pleasant lady.
Very basic bathroom and it's amenities. Staff does not speak english very well so can't have a real conversation to get any doubts in case you wanna ask about something different they don't understand - so the most you can do is ask for the name of things.

Location, helpful friendly staff. The pool looked inviting but we did not use it.
We made the mistake of booking a double standard room. Access to the room was past the restaurant toilets and featured an unopenable window looking onto a wall one metre away. The bathroom had a simple shower in the centre not screened off from the toilet or basin. Non standard rooms appeared much better. We strongly recommend against booking a 'standard' room at the Serene.

very friendly and caring staff (which you do not have often there from my experience), good location ( short walk to beach and kata town. Restaurants and shopping very close to hotel), room was clean and nice.

The staff were super friendly and always ready to help! Loved the spacious room with a lovely balcony perfect for sunsets. Beautiful pools and lots of fresh tropical fruits at breakfast 🍍.
Though the water pressure in the shower could be better.

I stayed here with my family, 4 daughters and two friends, was charged 800 Baht for extra beg, which is expensive compared to other places we stayed. Rooms are very spacious all with pool views, which is excellent! Pools very good in nice grounds, pool bar playing music, not too loud!Just a short walk, minutes, to nice places to eat, good Pizza just down road on corner. Shops, just a small parade, around the corner. Kata beach only 5 minute walk, there had been a storm when we arrived so beach appeared very dirty, with lots of rubbish washed up on it. good location but not for a long stay!
ants in the rooms, got everywhere. staff's English not great, and this at times came acrosss as being rude!

We enjoyed the lovely pools, and the breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices to fuel our day exploring nearby beaches or trying local shops. The staff was attentive and, with a big shoutout to Melissa for her very nice help!
For dads, it would be great to have more family-friendly activities available.

A good hotel, everything is fine, except it is not clear behavior reception ladies. Good breakfast, nice area, close to the beach. Unfortunately absolutely no sidewalks, but this is not applicable to the hotel.
I did not like the behavior of one of the ladies reception of the hotel, the one that documented the us in the hotel the first day. She acted at least not nicely. I did not understand what I had offended her. Maybe something personal? All other employees of the hotel very polite and pleasant.
